On a mission to hunt down a wild boar? Then you probably already know that the best time to do this is at night. But is that it? Certainly not. Swipe through the gallery to see 3 expert tips for successful wild boar hunting.

Wild boars are extremely cautious. Yet, they can be quite easily tricked with food. Being one of the most effective ways to lure them, bait should replicate the animal’s natural choices: corn, fruit, nuts, and acorns.
As with most of animals, your best bet for taking down the wild boar with one shot is aiming to the heart or the forehead. If choosing the latter, always remember that wild boar’s bristle is hard as armor, so instead of taking a direct shot, aim from an angle. Also, always make sure the animal is dead before approaching: wild boars are furious, and thus can be dangerous when wounded.
This might seem obvious if you have years of experience, but you should always know what you’re looking for. In order to find wild boar’s bedding area, you need to look for trails that remind of small tunnels. Once you’ve found those, you can be sure that the wild boars will come out looking for that bait you’ve placed.
