With the latest 3.3 firmware update, Pulsar adds more flexibility and ballistic options to its flagship line of Thermion 2 LRF thermal scopes. Following the release of the same update for the non-LRF versions, the brand now allows optional manual distance entry on laser rangefinder models.
Just like the previously released software update for the Thermion 2 non-LRF line, its primary goal is to improve accuracy for hunters as well as give them more options.
Getting started with ballistics calculations in your Thermion 2 LRF optical sight is quick and easy. Update your scope to the latest firmware via the Stream Vision 2 app and follow these steps:
First, pair your scope with the Stream Vision Ballistics mobile app.
There, create up to ten ballistic profiles and upload them directly to your scope.
You can now disconnect from the app. From now on, ballistic calculations will be done inside the unit.
If you have updated your Thermion 2 LRF with FW version 3.3, you now have two options:
– To measure the distance to the target using the integrated LRF.
– Or manually enter the preferred distance in the device shortcut menu.
The suggested aiming point will be immediately visible on your device screen.
With the latest firmware update, you will also be able to use the display dimming feature. Activating it in the main menu of the device allows you to instantly control the brightness of all display elements. In this way, you will be able to minimize visual fatigue when it is completely dark outside. It will also make you less noticeable to animals.
